On Wednesday 12th July our Y7, Y8 and Y9 Rounders teams competed in the Rotherham Rounders finals. After getting rained off on Saturday we were back to play the games at Rawmarsh, keeping our fingers crossed听for a dry evening and fortunately for us the weather held out.
听
The Year 9 team lost their semi-final to a very strong Aston team so then competed in the 3rd place game against Rawmarsh and came away victorious securing their 3rd place.听Both our Y7 and Y8 teams won their semi-finals and then beat their opponents in the final to be crowned as Rotherham Champions. Y7 beat Wath Academy in the final 4.5 to 4 rounders听so听it听was closely听fought and came down to the last ball. Y8 beat Swinton with a convincing performance in the final scoring 5.5 rounders to听Swinton’s 2.
